The Brief & The Big Idea
This was a self-initiated campaign piece created to stand apart from the sea of motion work that often starts to feel the same. The goal was simple: build a video that could clearly express what I do best: mixed-media animation, collage worlds, visual storytelling, and handcrafted motion, while attracting direct clients who resonate with that language.
I approached the piece as a chaotic city built entirely from fragments. Using After Effects as a 3D space, I constructed layered collage environments for the camera to travel through: characters, signs, buildings, textures, objects, landscapes, and small visual stories happening all at once.
The idea was to make every corner of the frame feel alive. A world where something is always moving, reacting, hiding, or revealing itself, the kind of video you want to watch again because there’s always another detail to discover.
At a time when speed often matters more than intention, I wanted this piece to push in the opposite direction: dense, playful, imperfect, and full of personality. Not just fast execution, but a clear visual point of view.
Outcome: a mixed-media motion piece designed to showcase a distinctive creative language, one that blends collage, 2D, 3D, characters, cityscapes, and camera-driven storytelling into a restless world of organized chaos.
